The nude has been a part of art since prehistoric times. Central New Mexico has an active collection of photographers and models producing artistic nude photography. Their best recent work will be on display with the opening reception March 24, 2017 4:00–8:00pm at The Artistic Image Gallery, 1101 Cardenas Dr. NE, 87110, (505) 554-2706. The show features work by 22 local photographers, all working within about 50 miles of Albuquerque. Most of the art will be for sale.
The photographers are both male and female, as are the models, making for a diverse show. Artistic nude photography often explores how light interacts with shape. Every body has a different shape, and different photographers use light differently. The result is a diverse set of images.
The show will be open March 24–April 1. Hours: Tuesday- Friday 9:00 to 5:30, Saturday 9:00 to 4:30, with special hours for the opening reception.
